Starting December 8, we are implementing a change to Multifactor Authentication settings related to the initial login process.

What This Means for You?

You might be prompted for Multifactor Authentication (MFA) more than you are used to when logging in from a different location / IP address.

Dear Member,
Your financial safety and well-being is our priority. To improve your protection from fraud, we are enhancing our Multifactor Authentication (MFA) upon login to our app and online banking.

The Change: Moving to Exact IP Address Matching
Currently, our system uses "Geo IP matching" performed at a per-city level. To further strengthen our security and reduce the geographical area where fraud can originate, we are upgrading to a system that will require an exact IP address match to either a previously successful login to bypass the initial MFA challenge or any additional IP addresses you have specifically requested for allowlisting.

Will I be prompted with MFA every time?
This update is designed to increase security while minimizing disruption for the majority of users:

  • Users Logging in from a Known IP: Users logging in from an IP address currently saved in their trusted history list will not be prompted for MFA.
  • Users Logging in via Biometrics: Users logging in via biometric methods will not be prompted for additional MFA.
  • New or Unsaved IP Address: Users who are not using biometrics and are logging in from an IP address that is not on their retained history list will be prompted for MFA, regardless of that IP's proximity to other trusted IPs.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to prioritize your financial security on our digital banking platform.
