Ensure a smooth and timely refund process
With tax season approaching we’d like to share a few helpful reminders to avoid delays or issues when receiving your tax refund:
- Ensure you provide the correct account and routing numbers when filing your tax return to prevent delays or your refund being returned.
- IRS guidance: Refunds should be deposited into an account in your own name. This includes accounts where you are the primary or a joint account holder. Requests to deposit refunds into accounts where you are not listed as an owner may result in the refund being rejected or returned.
- For additional information, please refer to the IRS website for official guidance on tax refund deposits.
