Keep in mind, once the member turns 25, their Student Honors Checking will automatically change into a regular Honors Checking account—which earns higher dividends but also requires more transactions to be made.

2.0% Annual Percentage Yield paid monthly on balances up to $5,000. Balances over $5,000 will earn the higher Share 1 dividend rate when requirements are met or the lower tier Share 1 rate if requirements are not met. All requirements must be met before month-end processing on last business day of month. Transactions posted after that time will count toward the following month’s requirements. Rates & terms as of August 1, 2015 and are subject to change. Must qualify for checking account. Personal accounts only. Only one Student Honors Checking account per member. ATM fee refunds up to $12.50 per month when requirements are met. Does not apply to ATMs outside the US. Ages 16 to 24 only.  Under 18 requires signature of parent or guardian. Account converts to Honors Checking at age 25.

Family Roo

The Family Roo account is designed for children birth to 4 years of age.  This account is designed to give parents the tools they need to achieve financial well-being AND help talk to their kids about financial-related topics.  The account offers this website full of advice on teaching kids about money.  In addition, it offers techniques that can help families make smart financial decisions for their future.  Family Roo members will receive a quarterly newsletter along with various other resources about saving money.

Mary Ann Brumagen dedicated her world to honoring our Credit Union’s uplifting mission: “People helping people.” She lived by that spark in her generous heart; and used it to create a powerful ripple, helping thousands reach their educational dreams. Serving us for 51 years, anyone who knew Mary Ann would remember — she exemplified the inspired work that shapes our vision every day. Kirby Kangaroo

The Kirby Kangaroo Club account is designed for children 5 to 12 years of age.  The account offers an educational website featuring questions and key terms to help improve their financial literacy and develop healthy habits. Kirby Kangaroo members will have access to stories, downloadable coloring pages, quizzes, games and other fun content. They will also receive a quarterly newsletter and access to a website full of financial literacy resources in the form of online games and activities.

Claim Your Youth

The Claim Your Youth account is designed for teens 13 to 18 years of age. This includes access to a website that include tools, tips, and calculators to help them understand the importance of budgeting, and manage their finances.

CYY members will also receive a quarterly newsletter that empowers teens to take charge of their financial future as early as today. They will also have access to other resources available in our Claim Your Youth Facebook and Twitter pages, and Youtube channel.
