Dr. Marty Pollio – Hero of Education

Dr. Pollio has worked as a teacher, a coach and a principle and now the superintendent for Jefferson County Public Schools. Class Act has been proud to call Dr. Pollio a member for over 13 years. He was also the principal of Doss High School where Class Act has a student-run branch.

During his time as acting superintendent (at the time of this post), Pollio has three core objectives for the near future: Improving culture and climate, deeper learning and student achievement, and organizational coherence. Pollio explains that his values come from years of experience within the district and having his very own daughter in the school system as well.
