Summer Student Training!

The newest members of the Class Act Academy have been working hard to learn the ins and outs of doing business at Class Act. This summer, these high school students took time out of their summer vacation so that they could be ready, this fall, to serve our members at the Doss and Southern High School branches.

“I loved the training, especially actually working on the teller line.” – Fatima Briseno

These students went through a rigorous process to be selected for the program to prove that they are the best of the best at their respective schools. During their time, the students spend hours in a class setting learning rules and regulations, brand standards, and the software necessary to process transactions. Once their teachers, Mary Jackey and Alison Coke, feel that the students are ready, they take the floor. Over the last two weeks of their training, the students have the opportunity to work at our main branch on Fern Valley Road to assist members and process real transactions with the support of our full-time staff.

“I feel like it was one (of the) most helpful things I needed in life.” -Shawn’kel

Throughout this time, students gain valuable experience that they can take with them through the rest of their life as they begin their careers, plus they get the chance to build relationships with other high schoolers from another school that they may not have otherwise come in contact with. Furthermore, they have real, hands-on job experience that they can use to build an outstanding resume.  If you want to learn more about the Class Act Academy program visit the Class Act Academy page. Furthermore, check out our Facebook page to see where these students end up down the road. We post stories on students like Danyar and Jamie who graduated from the program years ago and are continuing to do great things!

Summer training is over, but now you can see these outstanding students in action at our Doss and Southern High School branches!
